Beautifully clean, great amenities, super comfy bed
A lovely older style motel, homely beautifully clean, great amenities, super comfy bed and really quiet. Fantastic views of the mountains, you may even hear a cow or two from the nearby paddock. Lovely hosts especially the four legged one.

Excellent Motel
I stayed in Takaka for a couple of nights in Feb 2019 Warm and friendly welcome , more than happy to help Room was large with sitting area , comfy bed , decent wifi , and well equipped kitchen area It was warm and sunny while I was there , but the trusty South Island solution of sleeping with the window open cooled the room nicely .I used the self service laundry – powder , clothes line and pegs provided Really well located , nice pub with good food virtually other side of the road , less than five mins walk to town , ten mins or so drive to glorious beaches
Just the best
We had a 3 night stay here and loved it all. They had a pool for cooling off in the evening. Best beds that I’ve slept in away from home. We had a fully supplied kitchenette and the rooms were large and very clean and tidy. The staff are extremely helpful and would definitely recommend a stay here. You are central to town but its very quiet.
Perfect in every way
Our recent stay at the Anatoki Lodge was all we could have hoped for and more. It was spacious, extremely clean, well appointed, close to other amenities and the operators were both friendly and helpful. Though the motel is older, it has been well maintained and has a comfortable, easy going vibe
